Analysys Mason says 4G not a better choice

4G or LTE based mobile broadband that was thought to substitute slower copper based fixed line services might not work out says Analysys Mason, a consultancy group. It was earlier planned to cover at least 98% of the country by the year 2017.

Fixed line internet services are estimated to be faster than mobile data traffic which can make faster service speeds, capacity, video streaming and broadband based TV at a lower cost. Although mobile services might help to reach new areas, the cost of improving data capacity related to the demand of the customers and business providers is expensive.

According to a spokesman of Analysys Mason, policymakers and operators must concentrate on access speeds and traffic while planning for the replacement of copper lines with LTE . Although next-generation fixed networks are expensive to roll-out they are comparatively inexpensive with regards to the doubling its capacity.
