Tiscali Broadband offers 3 basic broadband packages. Each of these packages is targeted to a specific user and defined by Internet connection speed. If you are tired of a slow dial-up connection, upgrading to Tiscali’s £12.99 package may be all you need. This package allows you to download at up to 1Mbps, much faster than dial-up. If you find this package too slow for you, Tiscali offers a 2Mbps package for £14.99. This package is great if you just want to browse the web and check your e-mail. The £17.99 package allows you to download at speeds up to 8Mbps. This package is great if you plan to stream music or play online video games. Tiscali’s least expensive package is £9.99 for the first 3 months. The cost increases to £12.99 after the initial 3 months. Tiscali also offers packages which include free weekend or anytime talk. Offers & Freebies Similar to AOL, Tiscali internet offers unlimited bandwidth usage. You also get free email anti-spam and and anti-virus which is a nice add on for security. Connection hardware Like many UK broadband providers, Tiscali offers a free modem. However you will still need to buy a wireless router if you plan to connect more than one computer. Tiscali is a ADSL Internet provider which requires a “non cable phone line” to connect. Tiscali will work with PlayStation and Xbox online services.
