There is little in the Toucan package that would appeal to the heavy Internet user. If you require fast connection speeds at a reasonable price there are many other options that offer better value. However, if you are content with a standard broadband connection (and most home users will not experience problems at 512Kbps), there is no reason not to choose Toucan over another provider.
Toucan Broadband Packages
Toucan broadband offers two speeds - 512 kbps and 8 Mbps. There are four bundle options available so you can combine a suitable call plan with Toucan broadband package.
While most ISPs no longer promote 512Kbps packages, this is the basic broadband package offered by Toucan. Indeed, Toucan's 512Kbps package is comparable in price with the average 2Mbps package offered by many other providers.

I am happy with Toucan. I signed with their 8Mb package and I get speeds up to 5.5 Mbps. Excellent customer service.

I get frequent disconnection problems and the customer service is non-existent. Speeds are also slow as I get just 2 Mbps on most occasions.

Service is neither good nor bad and as for a beginner, it is a great package. So far I had not problems with connection though speeds slow down during peak hours.

Signed up with 8MB package, I get just 1MB and when I asked the customer support about it, they could not give convincing answers. Another problem is that connection is unreliable and you don't know when you will get disconnected. Their phone service is good but their broadband is worse like hell.
