    About Be There Broadband Provider

Be There was the first UK broadband provider to offer highspeed broadband with staggering 24 meg speed using ADSL+2 technology. Be was selected for the best Sumo consumer award by ISPA in 2006, for its innovations and application of ADSL+2 technology to offer higher speeds to home users and businesses.

Be offers its services using BT lines while it is also expanding its LLU network rapidly across the UK. Currently, it has more than 800 bundled exchanges and covers more than half of the UK population.

    History
Be There was started as an independent ISP in 2004. Launching high speed broadband packages with speed up to 24 meg and by winning the ISPA award for its recognition as a superfast broadband provider, it attracted the O2 Telefonica, the Spanish based mobile company which acquired Be in 2006 for £50 million deal.
The deal helped O2 to enter UK broadband market and to sell its mobile and internet based services.
Only recently, O2 launched highspeed broadband packages under its own brand name.
