According to the experts, wireless broadband is gaining relevance and importance with web users, who are frequently on the move and can stay intact with the connection. Alison Couper, communications director at Expedia said that internet has become "an integral tool in the fabric of modern living". People use Wi-Fi connection through the laptops and mobile phones and can stay connected. She also said that it was important for people to remain connected with friends, business and family even in their own place or foreign land.

She also focused on the cost incurred to wireless broadband users when connecting them to public areas such as airports, cafes and hotels. A study by Expedia proved that Wi-Fi rates in Europe are more expensive than any other place. Another important fact was disclosed that hotels with lower star rating provided free wireless broadband access when compared to five star hotels. This means in order to use this offer one can go for lower level accommodation.

According to Ms Couper, it is suggested to plan ahead and calling the hotel in advance to know how much they charge. Web users and business men may go for low cost wireless connection by visiting cafes and local areas, she added.
