More Queries confronted by Google on unauthorized Wi-Fi data gathering

Google, the search engine giant has once again came under fire while handling Street view Wi-Fi scandal with lawyers in US now swearing that it was no accident. Emerged in April, the Google Street View cars was not simply snarling home pictures but also taping information regarding wireless network since they are moving around the world.

No transmitted data are stored, claims Google. Yet last month the company accepted that the content of the network traffic that moves across the open Wi Fi network was also put down. An official blog post told that it was a mistake, faulting the slip on old code left in the street view system.

Owners of the wireless network is experiencing a very hard time of late due to the action on illegal file sharing. It states that anyone operating on open WiFi connection is considered single subscriber and hence to be responsible for all naughty activity on that connection
