A free wireless broadband (WiFi) initiative has been pondered over for launching in London by The Cloud. This network would offer the people in the capital city 15 minutes of internet surfing a day, for free.

The free WiFi network service is being offered to the Londoners by The Cloud in a bid to enhance the communications access quality in the capital.

The Cloud, one of the leading wireless network supplier operating in the United Kingdom and Europe is expected to begin its fresh initiative within the square mile of the capital from February.

It has also been reported that the network provider is aiming to convert London into a complete WiFi city that would help in mitigating the burdens of VAT hike and fresh restrictions imposed by a few mobile networks on mobile internet data.

According to the managing director of the Cloud, Naunton Dickins, people would find their laptops and smartphones working much better on WiFi rather than on their mobile network. He added that as there was hardly any more waiting for photos to download or applications to appear, WiFi referred to the real mobile broadband service.
