Vodafone offers Data Rollover to mobile 4G PAYG subscribers

Following the move by mobile operators such as iD Mobile and Sky Mobile, to offer data rollover on plans, Vodafone UK has also made a similar offer to their customers of Big Value Bundles based on 4G Pay-As-You-Go (PAYG).

The prominent mobile operator has introduced a Data Rollover feature to allow customers to save any unused data and carry it over to the next month, giving them better value for money. Therefore, a user who renews his or her Big Value Bundle plan within the 30-day period, will be able to rollover their unused data into the next 30-day period, added to the data allowance for that month.

Commercial Director of Vodafone UK, Glafkos Persianis, said they are happy to offer yet another industry first, determined to simplify their products and offer better value for money by listening to customers.

However the operator's users on pay-monthly contracts still have to use or lose data in the month. The industry first claim is not really true, as there have been data allowances that last for longer period offered earlier. Considering iD Mobile has a special GoTo plan and Sky Mobile has a virtual “piggy-bank” to store data to be used whenever later, Vodafone's new offer is not actually ground breaking.
