Scott Petty appointed as Chief Technology Officer at Vodafone UK

Scott Petty will succeed Jorge Fernandes as Chief Technology Officer at Vodafone UK. Petty is Vodafone Group's technology enterprise director, before his appointment as CTO. Jorge Fernandes will be leaving to Canada, to become the CTO of Rogers Communications there. Concurrently, Kye Prigg who is head of mobile networks at Vodafone UK, will take additional responsibility for fixed networks. He will be helping to meet the growing demand for unified communications.


Scott Petty said he is happy to join Vodafone UK at an exciting time when they are driving forward the likes of 5G, full-fibre broadband and artificial intelligence, all going into powering the digital economy. Drawing on their leading position, in areas like unified communications and IoT, they aim to be a key enabler for this digital revolution that will transform the way businesses operate and how we live, he added. Scott Petty joined Vodafone in 2009, moving in from Dimension Data and thereafter has held various positions at the company. He has managed all aspects of enterprise product-development and customer solutions, as the technology enterprise director of Vodafone Group.
