Rehabilitation Service From Vodafone

Saturday, February 26th 2011

Reacting to the cruel earthquake in New Zealand that has claimed 113 lives, Vodafone on its part has offered a free text donating service. Vodafone UK has announced a cost-free text donating number to the Vodafone customers that are willing to contribute to the Red Cross Appeal.
By just typing NZQUAKE to 70801, a Vodafone user can now make a donation of £5 to the Red Cross. All these messages are free-of-cost. The Vodafone foundation would themselves contribute £1 for every £5 made until it amounts to £100,000. The leading Telecom provider has already donated £100,000, to support the cause. This is an exclusive service from Vodafone and the service would be available only for its customers starting from 24th February 2011 till 3rd March 2011.
Vodafone customer can use the following contact information for making their donations.

Following the Vodafones gesture, one can only hope that more of such social causes would spring up in the future from other service providers too.
