BT-based Quadplay Service mulled by Vodafone UK

It has been reported by a popular broadband comparison website operating from the United Kingdom that, one of the prominent mobile networks operating in the country, Vodafone could be preparing to launch a quad-play broadband, TV, mobile and home phone service in the near future.

According to the ISPReview report that has been based on information from a credible source, the move was crucial for its being potential to place the provider right back into contention with forces such as Virgin Media and BT.

The popular mobile network had tried to work out something similar previously and until recent times an old Vodafone AT Home service was being offered by its website. This service8Mbps broadband service was originally introduced in 2006, coupled with a fixed-line homephone service.

The At Home service of the company displayed on their website has been found vanishing from a few months back, with the page where it was displayed currently showing a mobile internet section. This At Home service was originally based on a product of BT Wholesale.

According to Vodafone Support, although they were right there, their website was more targeting the business's mobile phone part. It announced the product to be an exclusive one to the pay monthly mobile customers of Vodafone.
