Wiltshire MP welcoms Virgin Media 100Mb Broadband

The MP for South West Wiltshire, Andrew Murrison has praised the launch of the 100 Mbps fibre optic broadband internet service in Trowbridge by the leading cable broadband provider of the country Virgin Media, besides welcoming it.

According to Virgin Media, the residents of the area that sign up for the next generation broadband product would be able to beneift from download speeds, which were more than sixteen times the national average download speed of the United Kingdom.

Murrison said to the Wiltshire Times while commenting over the news that he welcomed the development that would bode good for not only the individual cosnumers but also the businesses of the locality.

Meanwhile, the broadband director at Virgin Media. Jon James claimed that the subscribers of the area would be virtually blown away by what they were planning to do with a 100Mbps broadband connection.

The remarks by these people come after just three days following an announcement made by the cable broadband giant that over a million households across the United Kingdom were currently being able to access the infrastructure that was launched late in 2010.
