Virgin Media Business has announced that its Voom Fibre ultafast network will be brought into Manchester, to power hundreds of businesses in the city centre area, offering them download speeds of up to 350Mbps. By this upgrade, businesses in the area will able to enjoy entry-level speeds of up to 20 times faster than before, thereby opening up new business opportunities for them with great growth potential. Sir Richard Branson launched Vroom Fibre on 2nd May. The service has prices starting from £30 per month and offers ultrafast download speeds as standard, capable of 350Mbps. However, businesses depending on their requirements, can choose from a variety of upload speeds.

The Regional Director of Virgin Media Business, Martin McFadyen, said by expanding their ultrafast network into the Deansgate area, they will be transforming hundreds of businesses here by giving them the connectivity they deserve. He pointed that too many small businesses and office blocks here have been stuck in the analogue age and are suffering, but they are on a mission to help small businesses to thrive, by providing them faster speeds than they may need, through Voom Fibre, their market disrupting broadband service. To make all this happen, it is essential to get the cooperation of local landlords and councils and also get planing approvals, so that there is no delay to connect business premises and office blocks, he added.
