The Virgin TV Kids app is a new app elusively designed for kids by Virgin Media. The app developed for pre and early primary school children (usually 3 to 7 years old), features a friendly interface, bright and easy to use, which can be personalised with preferences for display and with personal profiles. The young users can access easily any popular show, like In The Night Garden, Peppa Pig, Bob The Builder or Thomas & Friends. It includes features like games to test skills in memory, logic and problem solving. It features books like Princess Evie's Ponies and Dogs Don't Do Ballet. Adults or parents can prevent the kids from leaving the app to the wider web, by restricting streaming to a Wi-Fi connection. They would also be notified about data usage. Or able to monitor the usage via history of TV shows, games or the books.

The Virgin TV Kids app is offered without any extra cost to customers already subscribed to the operator's kids channels. Virgin Media's Chief Entertainment Officer, David Bouchier, said the app is designed for pre-schoolers and Virgin TV's youngest users, elusively to be a safe and fun space. David Bouchier remarked that the app let the parents or carers of children help kids explore the best of children's TV programmes on their favourite channels, as well as a wide range of games and books, knowing they will be not exposed to harmful or inappropriate content. The app prides at having the best selection of pre school entertainment without commercial influences and an ad-free environment, he added.
