Virgin Media to associate with Spotify

Virgin Media customers will be able to enjoy the world’s best music service ‘Spotify’ through their mobile, broadband and TV with the help of TiVO powered set top box. The various flavours of Spotify which include GBP 4.99 a month Spotify Unlimited online-only tier and the GBP 9.99 a month Spotify Premium, which in all probabilities will take care of TV access. Jon James of Virgin Media is pleased to be associated with Spotify. The listeners, whether at home or on the move, will get the best music service made even better with the help of Virgin Media’s sophisticated digital services. This is Spotify’s largest deal with any ISP. Spotify is interested in increasing the number of paying subscribers rather than free users. Clearly, Spotify’s free tier will not be offered by Virgin Media to its customers. The current customers of the ISP will be provided with sign up window and special offers by Virgin Media. Spotify customers will have the benefit of bundled offers when they sign up for Virgin Broadband.
