Virgin Media release an innovative modem and router

Virgin Media is looking to introduce an innovative latest modem and router viable with 400 Mbps speed. The network improvement is expected to be released publicly by conclusion of 2010.



Virgin Media can claim nearly 70,000 users for the existent network that deliver up to 50 Mbps speed. Meanwhile, together with the advanced speed router, Virgin also expects to offer for the users latest services such as user telepresence, cloud computing and home working.



The Media Director of Broadband at Virgin Media, Jon James affirmed that they were looking forward to the growth of network speeds in the coming years, thus introducing ever-improving services, counting the 100Mps service, scheduled to close at the end of 2010. The assessment of 200Mbps is as yet continuing, James claim.



Virgin also has an idea to employ the telegraph post facilitating easy distribution of broadband access to houses, situated in remote parts.
