Virgin Media recruits apprentices
According to Sun, there is good news for Electrical Engineering candidates seeking jobs. Internet Service Provider Virgin Media is recruiting 300 apprentices across the UK for the installation of broadband, cable TV and ancillary works. The trainees will be absorbed as field technicians and they will gain a NVQ level 2 equivalent qualifications, as part of the training programme. Maria Miller, aged 22, was one among the first batch of apprentices selected and is now good enough to guide and new entrants. Peter van den Broeck of Virgin Media is extremely happy to grant a good opportunity to the young and ambitious, while simultaneously setting up the broadband and cable FV service. Following the footstep of Virgin Media, BT appointed 90 apprentices in London in the field of broadband internet connection.
