Virgin Media leads the way in broadband speeds

Virgin Media is able to provide broadband speeds twice that of the UK national average. Internet users are very particular about speeds nowadays for their broadband. The broadband speed is dependant on various factors including the capability of the service providers. With respect to the tests held in August, the average download and upload speeds were 8.06 Mbps and 1.21 Mbps respectively for the country. However Virgin Media recorded a download speed of 16.97 Mbps and upload speed of 2.48 Mbps. Eclipse Internet and BT took the next two places with speeds of 7.15 Mbps and 6.66 Mbps respectively. Those who are particular about speed, for activities like streaming data, online gaming etc, opt for Virgin Media as the provider has proved to be most efficient and dependable of all. The provider is reputed for excellent service in  broadband with its fibre optic networks.
