Virgin Media 365 Days Free 50Mb Broadband Competition

Tuesday, August 10th 2010

The prominent cable TV and fibre optic broadband internet provider operating in the United Kingdom, Virgin Media has teamed up with the technology website TechRadar to offer its ultrafast fibre optic broadband service of 50Mbps to a lucky respondent, totally free for 365 days.

The competition is open to UK residents above 18 years of age, living within a cabled area. The entrant needs to be subject to status and credit checks. By taking part in the competition, entrants would be deemed as accepting and agreeing to be bound to a number of terms and conditions put forward by the authority.

TechRadar, has announced that the winner would be presented with a free Virgin Media 50Mbps fibre optic broadband connection for a term of twelve months. It has also announced that after the free period of 12 months, the price of the package will revert to GBP 38 a month, besides GBP 5 for payment handling and a paper bill charge of GBP 1.25.

Nonetheless, Virgin Media has given that it would not be responsible for conducting the competition. It has asked the public to contact the technology website for more details.

However, the broadband provider seems to have given the nod to the concept projected by the website that the ISP wanted to celebrate the recently published Ofcom reports that showed a massive difference between its broadband offering and that of its rivals, by giving an entrant that lives in a cable area the opportunity to win an years free subscription from it.
