Upload Speeds boosted in 9 Areas by Virgin Media
It has been reported that the leading cable broadband provider operating in the United Kingdom, Virgin Media was presently mulling the upload broadband speeds across the United Kingdom.
Avirgin Media has also announced the latest spots set to benefit from its free uload speed boost programme targeting the customers of its fibre optic broadband service.
According to reports, the latest loations announced by the cable giant, where the upgrade is currently going live are; Southampton, Oldham, Linlithgow, Newport East, Lewisham, Epsom, Dalston, Cambridge and Aldershot.
A number of other communities are also scheduled to benefit from the increased capacity in 2011 March. These communities are; Petersborough, Mapperley and Canneisburn.
The plans of the cable broadband provider to hike upload broadband speeds by as muh as 3.3 fold were announced last September. The upgrade would take place gradually across the country to the 10Mbps, 20Mbps, and 50Mbps customers of Virgin Media.
According to Virgin Media's executive director for broadband, Jon James, those fresh upload broadband speeds would help the customers of Virgin Media to share the most valuable moments of theirs besides keeping up with what their families and freinds were up to.
