Monday, June 13th 2011

100 MB broadband service from Virgin Media is now serving over four million UK homes, allowing users to enjoy over 16 times the average national broadband speed.  Virgin Media and its fibre optic network is now the number one broadband service in UK and are available to 100 towns across the country.
As the number of broadband users is set to double by 2015, Virgin Media and its advanced services will help the country meet the forefront of the digital revolution. With the demands in mobile and smart phone broadband services, computers, game consoles and television connections, the broadband world is perfectly poised to meet the demands of a family in enjoying being online together without the horrible wait for buffering as in ADSL broadband.
According to Jon James, the Executive Director of broadband Virgin Media, only Virgin Media is primed to face the impending data explosion of the country. Mr. James is delighted to be playing the leading role in boosting digital infrastructure of the United Kingdom.
