Edinburgh Broadband Customers Failed by Virgin Media
A few Virgin Media broadband customers in Edinburgh have been reported as beset with a fault found in their broadband services. Virgin Media is the dominant cable broadband provider in the UK. A website quoted a broadband customer of the region saying to the Edinburgh Evening News that the broadband firm had originally informed him that his broadband service problems might not get fixed until the 29th of September. Meanwhile, Virgin Media responded to the complainant's lament by explaining that the problem of that particular person hardly had anything to do with the wider fault, and the broadband issue that was harrying the city have been fixed by the time. A Virgin Media spokesman confirmed that they had successfully resolved a hardware fault that had been affecting the resident customers of Edinburgh by Tuesday morning's early hours. He also apologised for any inconvenience caused by the fault, on behalf of the company.
As a matter of fact, around a hundred Edinburgh residents were left with no broadband service following a hardware failure found in the broadband connections rolled out by Virgin Media here. It was reported that this applied to an area covering four post codes.
