Saturday, September 21st 2013

An online tool has been launched by Connecting Cambridgeshire so that businesses and residents can find out when superfast broadband will be available for them. It will also to reveal details of the timetable and the rollout in different areas. This superfast broadband checker has been created jointly by BT and local authorities in Peterborough and Cambridgeshire.

The ‘My Area’ page is an interactive online map that helps people to know exactly where superfast broadband can be expected in the areas of Peterborough and Cambridgeshire. This is a new project and hence more updates will be added in Connecting Cambridgeshire website of the ‘My Area’ section. The tool will have separate page for each county where information on the broadband rollout will be stored. The main objective behind the introduction of this online tool is to give away better broadband service to the county by 2015.
