Wiltshire properties to get faster broadband speed

Reports say that Box located in Wiltshire will get boost up of fibre optic broadband speed for businesses and homes. This will be done by summer this year.

Lacock and Neston, neighbouring areas in Wiltshire also will be connected with speeds of at least 24Mbps, it has been reported. The fibre broadband rollout scheme is part of the scheme signed between BT and Wiltshire Council. According to the BT programme manager, the project is part of the scheme undertaken by the government to bring down conflicts due to broadband speeds that are available in towns and cities and rural areas. He also added that the rollout has reached the first phase and 17,000 meters of cable will be laid with two cabinets deployed in Corsham. Other areas that will be benefited with the rollout are Westwood and Avoncliff.
