UK Broadband appoints its first General Counsel

The popular telecommunications firm operating n the United Kingdom, UK Broadband has reportedly appointed its first general counsel, who would be leading its in-house legal department development.



The new general counsel joining UK Broadband, Katrina Dick had been working at Field Fisher Waterhouse, as a partner in the technology law group. She has been focusing on TMT work from commercial as well as regulatory perspectives.



Dick explained that the current post pointed to a fresh general counsel role established with a view to support the building up business. She added that it was an exciting period for her for working with the business, as she liked to work with a business besides helping it grow.



UK Broadband is the subsidiary of a prominent communication and information technology company based in Asia, PCCW for the United Kingdom that was launched in the country in 2010 June.



Dick further claimed that although they were a start up firm in the United Kingdom, they enjoyed a massive infrastructure behind them with the predominant aim being the building up of a fresh legal team with an increase in the business.
