Low Broadband Investment in the UK pointed out by Expert

According to a popular broadband market expert operating from the United Kingdom, the British government's plan for investing GBP 530 million in the rural broadband rollout in the country was nowhere near enough to meeting the 2Mbps universal commitment for all. The rollout of the scheme is to be started by the end of the parliament's current session.

Nevertheless, many observers of the segment have been found to be believing that the delay from the previously fixed 2012 deadline for the 2Mbps rural broadband rollout to concluded by the previous Labour government to another updated commitment, which could be running as late as 2015 carried out by the coalition government was with a view to buy more time.

Tim Johnson, the chief analyst at the popular broadband research body, Point Topic has pointed out that this in total, as a matter of fact, only equated with the every year spending of the French Government until 2025 for bringing in less ambitious schemes.

Johnson added that around GBP 570 million was being spent evry year by the French for delivering a 2Mbps broadband internet service to all households in France over a longer time-scale that which ahs been announced by the delayed 2015 deadline of the United Kingdom.
