A fresh research has disclosed the ways assumed by a growing number of broadband internet consumers to bundle their broadband internet packages with digital TV and home broadband extras.

The study organised by Ofcom that concluded recently has revealed that more and more people were opting for a broadband, digital TV and home phone bundle package.
The annual consumer experience report put forward by the telecommunications regulator of the United Kingdom, Ofcom had further revealed the fact that thirty five per cent of consumers embraced a dicounted broadband TV phone bundle in 2008. This has further witnessed a surge of 5 per cent over the previous year. The report suggested that significant savings were there to be realised by assuming such a move as the customers that paid for all or a few of their telecommunication services from the same broadband supplier could save for themselves an amount between GBP 140 and GBP88 anually.

The research also claimed that for many consumers, better telecoms packages were available in the United Kingdom than in comparison to nations in continents such as Europe and North America.

Ofcom had announced in the previous month that the introduction of a fresh discussion document to examine the potential of engaging the new technology to boost wireless broadband coverage across the United Kingdom and also enhancing broadband internet services in the rurla areas.
