The third largest UK ISP, Tiscali has announced the latest half-year results for the period that ended on 30th June 2008.
The report shows that the customer base (ADSL broadband) of Tiscali broadband provider has declined from 1,875,000 to 1,838,000 during the first quarter.
However, Tiscali UK had significant growth in its ADSL broadband and telephony services.
According to the report, the revenues from ADSL access services constituted more than half of the total revenues and touched 210.5 million Euros during the first half of this year, showing 32% growth. The telephony (Voice services) had contributed revenues of 119.1 million Euros, which was 131 percent jump from the sales figure of 51.6 million Euros of the corresponding period in 2007.
The ISP has reported that the retail ARPU for the UK broadband division has managed to reach 29 per month which has been still consistent for the last twelve months although the ISP had to face fierce competition in the UK broadband market.
As for the ADSL broadband subscriptions, the direct ULL customers have been the major part of the total broadband customers. There were 884,000 ULL customers as against 884,000 customers who have subscribed to its dual play services.
