Three Mobile customer base cross one million
The major mobile phone operator, Three (3) mobile broadband provider has one million broadband customers in the Europe according to a report. 3 says that it has received immense response to its mobile broadband offers during the last year. The company has added many customers to its mobile network and significant portion of its customers have either took 3 mobile broadband package as supplement or cancel their ADSL broadband services to subscribe to Three mobile broadband packages. The mobile broadband provider has also restructured the data roaming usage plans recently to benefit its customers. Three along with T-mobile has announced price cuts in data roaming charges recently. Christian Salbaing, the MD of European Telecoms has commented: Three mobile broadband provider also offers video services to their customers at selected areas. Accordingly, the customers will need to pay £9.50 to watch a three minute YouTube clip. Or they can just subscribe £142 for viewing TV programme of one hour duration.
"For many customers, it is their first personal broadband connection. However, due to the high wholesale data roaming costs charged between mobile operators in Europe, it remains very expensive for consumers to use mobile broadband while travelling abroad and roaming onto other networks."
