‘Three’ claims that 137 terabytes of data is passing across the network daily. This is equal to 40% of the UK’s mobile data traffic. This is also equal to downloading of 35.8 million iTunes tracks every day. 97% of the traffic on the network is on account of data.

1.24 billion Facebook pages were viewed by the Three customers every month. The amount of data in the month of October on the network in M25 alone could be sufficient to download 360 million iTunes tracks. These were the remarks of Phil Sheppard, in charge of the network strategy of Three.

Sheppard added that usage of the smartphone enhances the individual’s life. Almost 60% of the company’s customers are phone users. BY next year it is expected to mount to 90%.

According to him, the aim of the company is to ensure that the customers are able to access the internet as per their requirement. As more and more customers choose the snmartphone for the purpose, the strength of the smartphone users goes up.

Three has done everything to become the country’s fastest growing network provider in terms of fresh subscribers. One such effort by the provider is the expansion of its ‘The One Plan’ by granting ‘all-you-can-eat’ data tariff on a two year contract at GBP 18 per month.
