3 UK Starts Mobile Broadband Ad Scheme

Three UK (3 UK), one of the five dominant mobile broadband networks in the United Kingdom, has taken the credit for the first mobile broadband provider that offered advertising with its software.

Yell.com meanwhile, has become the first partner to the mobile broadband operator, in its fresh endeavour. It is understood that the advertisements of Yell.com will start appearing on the 3 UK dashboard in a very short time.

It is also understood that Yell.com will be providing the customers of 3 Broadband UK with a search window apart from the branding of the company, every time they connect to the network using their 3 mobile broadband dongle.

Many broadband experts in the United Kingdom have maintained that Yell.com being a telephone directory, can prove to be a useful service in the browser of the customer. However, they do not think that the customer tolerance factor may not be the same as more broadband suppliers start taking adverts from a galaxy of brands dominating the world market.
