Tuesday, August 17th 2010

Which?, the popular consumer magazine operating from the United Kingdom has published the results from the broadband market research carried out by it in the United Kingdom.

The reports say that some of the leading internet service providers operating in the United Kingdom, Orange UK, Opal Telekom and AOL UK have the least satisfied customers. All these broadband providers achieved a score less than 40 per cent for overall satisfaction. They also managed just one star out ogf 5 for customer service. It is worth noting that both Opal and AOL belong to the TalkTalk Group.

The broadband survey carried out by Which? rated the broadband providers in the United Kingdom for connection speed, reliability, value for money and customer service. Nonetheless, there is something to celebrate for the consumers in the country as well, as the average broadband satisfaction among the users of all ISPs has surged to 52 per cent form 50 per cent since the previous survey conducted by Which? six months back.

In total, 9657 online panel members of Which? were surveyed by it between June and July 2010. This covered twenty-six internet service providers for reachingWhich?'s conclusions. The complete results, unfortunately are only available solely to the magazine's subscribers currently.

It is worth mentioning here that while TalkTalk ISP is on the run for becoming the largest broadband and home phone provider operating the United Kingdom - the ISP had recently announced its mobile phone service - Orange UK had teamed up with T-Mobile to form the largest mobile broadband network in the country.
