Tiscali Customers finally redeemed by TalkTalk
One of the leading providers of broadband and home phone bundles in the United Kingdom, TalkTalk has made a u-turn finally in its assumed stance in the Tiscali customers' case to announce that it would now honour old Tiscali broadband internet contracts. As a matter of fact, TalkTalk that had acquired the UK operations of the Italian telecommunications company Tiscali, had at the start of the new year began migrating the customers of Tiscali to its own broadband internet network. A move that tended to harry many Tiscali customers that did not wish to switch to a broadband package of TalkTalk, by positioning them prone to facing a higher monthly charge. It seems TalkTalk, now in a change of heart has said that it would honour the Tiscali customers' broadband contracts besides offering them an alternative even more appealing. A spokesman of the broadband provider that offers one of the cheapest business broadband packages in the UK, has said that customers that have subscribed to or latered their broadband package between 2009 September and December, would be offered service for six months at half price, when they signed up for a fresh TalkTalk contract.
To be more precise, TalkTalk had been virtually forcing the standalone broadband customers of Tiscali to pay a higher GBP 19.99 per month from the original GBP 14.99 per month if they did not migrate. Although it was initially maintained that most customers affected by the fresh development were out of contract as well as free to switch providers, it was revealed later that a few of them still had some months remaining in their contract.
