TalkTalk’s New Broadband Phone Upgrade Package
TalkTalk has come out with a new upgrade package for home phones for those people who are already subscribing to broadband packages. Their new offer which they call the 500 Global Minute Boost permits users to make the most of calls of high value to over a hundred overseas locations. The customers are expected to pay a monthly rent of five pounds for this add-on to their phones that offer them the chance of make calls at lowered rates to both landlines as well as to mobiles phones.
The Director of Product management at TalkTalk Alex Hollingdale stated that this offer was in fact a global calling product that gives users an opportunity to calls to locations that include India, Pakistan, Brazil and South Africa, other than major locations in Europe, The US, Australia and Canada.
He also commented that the Global Minute Boost not only helped to do away with the necessity of utilizing international mobile SIMs or calling cards but also aided users in saving quite some amount of money. He said that in general a call to India would cost a customer 50 pence a minute if they were to call from a BT landline, however with the Global Minute Boost they could make calls at just one pence per minute and they can utilize their Boost offer at any time irrespective of whether it was day or night and at the same time regulate their number of minutes through ‘My Account’.
This offer is another feather in the cap of the already existing Boost offers from TalkTalk permitting TalkTalk users to bundle both their broadband and phone packages as per their requirements. As of now, the UK customers are already enjoying a 50% savings on their broadband and home phone services.
The company’s entry-level package includes a usage allowance of 40GB at a monthly rate of 3.25 pounds which will double to 6.50 pounds at the end of six months, while the most expensive of their packages that include limitless usage allowance and limitless calls are available at 7.25 pounds a month from 14.50 pounds.
