TalkTalk has become the third largest TV provider in UK, behind Sky and Virgin Media, thanks to it gaining more than a million customers on mobile broadband and TV services in the last 12 months. The company reported that more numbers of customers have opted for their bundled phone broadband, mobile and TV packages that are known as 'quadplay'. TalkTalk considers the significant driver of growth to be its mobile business. The first 3 months of 2015 saw 66,000 subscribers joining its mobile service. Some 12% of all customers are on the mobile service.

As for its TV offering, TalkTalk has in the last one year added 16 new channels and now finds over a third of its customers taken up the bundled TV, phone and broadband packages. TalkTalk has announced that HBO's most popular show at present, the Games of Thrones, will be available from June on TalkTalk TV. Their customers can purchase the full series or buy individual episodes, out of 1 to 4 seasons offered. Customers can also view the purchased episode using the provider's TV2Go app, to stream it on their compatible mobile devices.

It may be noted that TalkTalk has also made a number of acquisitions, which includes Tesco's Blinkbox and broadband subscribers. Dido Harding, the company's chief executive, said that British consumers and businesses appreciate their value for money products. They are focused on improving customer experience further and growing the quad play business, he added.
