Dan Meader Appointed as Mobile Director By TalkTalk
The provider for fixed as well as broadband appoints the previous head of Direct Trading as it get ready to provide contracts and mobile phones. TalkTalk has hired Dan Meader the ex-head of Direct Trading of O2 UK as their new Mobile Director. Mr. Meader would be in charge of the performance of TalkTalk sales via retail, online as well as through their voice channels.
Mr. Meader had been with O2 for about a decade in a variety of roles, before which he was the Senior Business Development Manager for WorldCom and thereafter he was with BT for a short while.
Ms. Tristia Clarke the Commercial Director of O2 stated that Mr. Meader had a wide knowledge and experience of the telecommunications market in the UK. She said that he was with their company for more than nine years during which he was in different senior commercial as well as financial posts which also included being the Head of their Retail Commercial Planning and also as the Head of Consumer Finance.
TalkTalk claimed that they had over 50,000 people who had registered for their SIM-only mobile deals that were offered along with their fixed lines and broadband. They said that they had ideas of launching mobile phones in the coming spring and some contract deals during the course of the year.
Ms. Clarke stated that they were considered as the value player in phone and broadband and that they had been to incorporate those values to their MVNO joint venture with Vodafone. She said that within a matter of one year they had been able to get a great start with their SIM-only offer and they presently had the chance to offer a variety of contracts and mobile phones at reasonable pieces that would attract TalkTalk consumers.
