Broadband Supplier TalkTalk urges upgradation of Wireless Network Security

Wednesday, April 7th 2010

British Broadband Supplier TalkTalk has reportedly urged for the upgradation of  wireless network security but has also estimated that  it would cost more millions to the Britons for upgradation under the digital economy bill.   This security upgrade would go on to protect UK residents from the prospect of  prosecution by the prevention of  network usage for illegal activities such as hacking.  For upgradation, however,  residents would need to have new routers, gaming consoles and WiFi cards too.

TalkTalk has estimated that only about 3 percentage of the total 17.9 million of British households currently enjoy protection against hackers and that  additional network security is needed.  However, there has been strong opposition for the digital economy bill from various quarters, though.  In fact,  among many groups, specifically, the Don't Disconnect Us group is up in arms with the argument that  Internet users should not be disconnected under any circumstance by the UK Government, reportedly.
