Sky has released its latest quarterly report and has confirmed that Sky Mobile is on its way soon. It will work as a Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) and be using the network of O2. Sky has said in its report that it has achieved some of the "final readiness milestones" that goes into preparation for the launch of the mobile service.

Sky shows in its report a little over £2 million as quarterly revenue, in UK and Ireland. It has added some 106,000 new customers world over, with 35,000 being added in the United Kingdom. It shows good growth in Now TV pass sales, with a year-on-year rise of 8% in subscriptions to Sky Cinema, as well as for new products into the Italian, Austrian and German markets.

Sky's Chief Executive, Jeremy Darroch, says as a brand known for great customer service and quality products, the upcoming launch of a mobile proposition will add to the major product line-up they give to customers in UK. Jeremy Darroch was also pleased with the start made this year, having finished the quarter strongly after a slow start, put against the backdrop of the UEFA Euro 2016 and the Rio Olympics scenario.
