Fluidata signs deal with Sky to offer wholesale Ethernet for Businesses

Friday, September 16th 2016

An agreement signed between Fluidata, the Business ISP, and Sky's new Sky Network Services (SNS) Wholesale Division, will enable them to jointly offer new high-speed capacity service on Ethernet, across the UK, using primarily Sky's telecoms and data network.

ISP Fluidata would be providing a dedicated team for the service, besides utilising their experience in providing business communication products to customers in the competitive market. All services, will come via the Sky core network, before it is delivered to Fluidata's network.

Fluidata via both partners or directly, will offer high-capacity Ethernet solutions against orders. The service will come with strong Service Level Agreement (SLA+) to support service up-time that is being guaranteed. It comes with free installation and activation (believed to be worth £2,500) too.

On top of this, business customers ordering the 100Mbps, or 200Mbps Ethernet Service, are being offered free an extra 50Mbps of bandwidth. This move is an aggressive approach by Sky entering into the wholesale market, which has long been expected out of Sky.
