Broadband Cutomer Base of Sky Reaches 2.2 Million
Reports say that the internet service provider BskyB that operates in the United Kingdom, has attracted 118,000 fresh broadband customers within a span of three months that also mark the quarter 2 of the year. This fact has been released by the quarterly financial reports of the broadband providers. The financial report has claimed that the customer base of the broadband supplier was continuing to grow at a decent pace, although a bit down from the turn up in quarter one of 2009, when a striking 130,000 new customers had signed up with the group. According to the company's claims, its customer base touching an incredible 2.2 million by the middle point of the year, also account for almost half of the total customer additions to the broadband segment in the United Kingdom. Jeremy Darroch, the chief executive of Sky Broadband claimed that they remained the fastet growing broadband plus home phone provider in the United Kingdom, as about one in every six consumers were opting for the broadband, TV and phone package of the company.
Apart from the fact that fresh subscriptions had taken the ISP to this covetous achievement, another significant fact is that the broadband bundles of the company too had proved popular, with about 16 percent of its total customers currently opting for the telephony and TV deals, besides their internet connection.
