UK Wireless Broadband ISP

Thursday, March 19th 2009

Now Wireless Broadband UK ISP that was formerly known as Netvigator, could be calling it a day, as early as the month of April according to the reports. Now is a fixed access wireless broadband service provider (Wi-Fi) that at present is backed by UK Broadband Ltd. The latter is a comprehensively owned subsidiary of PCCW Telco, a Hong Kong based company.

It was last heard of in 2008 February, when the UK Broadband won four 40GHz Ofcom auctioned licences. It was reported then that this had cost them an exorbitant GBP120,000, although this could have realised the deploying of a WiMAX based fast broadband.

However, today when many UK ISPs offer great internet access speeds, it has been a reality that Now, for a long time has been found seldom updating its packages. In fact, their fastest offer was a stodgy 1Mbps connection package. Fresh information on the situation seems to be hardly coming in, since attempts to contact the ISP has failed, with even the About Us page on the ISP's website was found to be out of order.
