Tooway Satellite Broadband 2Mbps Service Launched in the UK
Tooway satellite broadband service that delivers 2Mbps internet access to the customers at any spot across the UK has been rolled out by Eutelsat Communications. The price for the service starts from GBP29 99 a month. Eutelsat claims that their service is the first of kind that offers similar costs and speeds, apart from being potential enough to help reach the broadband service to the remotest communities in the UK. Tooway Satellite Service also puts forth their claims of being capable of offering telephony and television services additionally, since it engages a local distributors network for installing the service as well as providing support. Customers are required to acquire a Eutelsat satellite dish and modem to get linked to the internet. Arduino Patacchini, the director for value added services and multimedia at Eutelsat said that while they were predominantly focused on targeting the consumers who were underserved by other internet broadband service providers, their partners would be providing ideal packages for the professional users. He added that the service would be unique once availed, which cannot by compared to any other ISP's plan until the present times.
Eutelsat Eurobird 3 satellite is the source that feeds Tooway Broadband Service. The download speed provided here is 2 Mbps and the upload speed is 256 Kbps. Although the service has been boasted as suiting most of the applications, Eutelsat sounds a warning too that it is not advisable for some software such as online games, which require low latency networks.
