T Mobile and 3 Mobile UK are rumoured to be heading towards the completion of their ground breaking joint venture program, MBNL by the end of 2010. MBNL or Mobile Broadband Network Limited agreement was created in December 2007, prompting both companies to share the expenses of running and upgrading the combined 3G access networks. Once completed, this will become Europe's largest shared network, offering the customers of these broadband providers a better 3G coverage in UK.

With the completion of the infrastructure program, the 3G coverage of the country will expand from 90% to 98% of the population. To be more precise, MBNL has already consolidated 7000 sites out of 12,500 sites. The remaining 5,500 will be consolidated soon, hoping to upsurge the coverage.

Another lead of the story is the new agreement that MBNL has offered to Nokia Siemens networks. It was reported that MBNL has awarded a £400m 3G Upgrade contract to Nokia Siemens. Graham Payne, the Managing Director of MBNL said that the company can provide the most smartphone friendly 3G network to people in UK with the help of Nokia Siemens than with any other operator.

Whatsoever, T Mobile and 3 Mobile customers of UK are likely to have a better 3G network experience by the end of this year.
