Success of Broadband TV Platform predicted

Thursday, February 17th 2011

The chief executive officer of YouView, the broadband television platform long awaited, reportedly believes that YouView service would prove greatly popular with the users.

Halton thinks that the broadband TV platform were to generate towering consumer demand after its hitting the United Kingdom market eventually.

The partnership venture between a few of the largest broadband and television providers operating in the United Kingdom including, TalkTalk, BT and ITV may not launch its first product commercially until the first few months of 2012.

It is worth mentioning here that YouView incidentally had been expected to introduce its technology into the market by the forthcoming summer.

However, Halton seemed confident that the delay would hardly hamper the reasonable success of the digital television service. This was reported by New Media Age.

Halton remarked that people simply wanted to be reassured that they could catch up with their loved programmes in one place, which YouView would be allowing them to.
