Broadband TV Customers on the Rise across the World

A fresh research has disclosed the fact that the number of consumers of the television broadband bundle packages across the world has experienced a surge this year. This applies to the customers that opted to watch television content through a broadband connection.

The relevant research was carried out by Point Topic, the market intelligence organization. The research body has estimated a subscription base of more than 26.3 million consumers across the world that were on the broadband TV bundle packages similar to the service package of Sky Player, by the end of the year’s quarter two.

The figure revealed by the research agency showed 53 per cent annual increase, and it further suggested that a robust growth was witnessed particularly in South America and Europe.

Meanwhile, Point Topic’s senior analyst John Bosnell lamented that more was expected from the concept of television content through broadband internet services, as a matter of fact. He further explained that these figures were quite impressive in themselves, although the growth of the relevant market has obviously not been as prolific as the expectations of some of the diehard IPTV admirers.

By the way, Point Topic had only the previous month published a research report predicting that the current schemes launched with a view to introduce next generation broadband services across the United Kingdom might not meet the existing demand for the services.
