Be officially launches Wholesale Service

One of the popular fixed-line broadband internet service providers operating in the United Kingdom, Be Broadband has officially introduced into the UK market its Be Wholesale broadband service, which would target broadband providers looking to set up retail sevices that require greater control than what is available on rival platforms.

A number of internet service providers have been over the last eighteen months working with Fluidata - partner of Be Broadband - to prove the advantages of the service that operates on the LLU (local loop unbundling) platform of Be.

Be Broadband's network coverage reaches more than 70 per cent of business in the mainland of the United Kingdom. Besides, it also claims to be operating an ADSL2+ broadband network of low congestion that has been rated by Ofcom as the fastest DSL wholesale service.

Particularly, the consumers have access to 2.5Mbps broadband upload speeds, which is significantly greater than the upload speeds delivered by many other broadband providers. It is noteworthy that more than 30 providers currently rely on Be network for delivering high-quality broadband services.

Dan Cunliffe, the head of BT Wholesale explained that not having to resort to legacy equipment meant that the firm could focus in a better way on its ADSL2+ broadband platform on rolling out services better suited to the day's business needs that range from video conferencing to VoIP and VPN services.

Cunliffe added that the shift to applications based on Cloud made high-quality connectivity crucial.
