‘Video streaming’ tops the list among the loads on the broadband networks

‘Video streaming’ has accounted for almost 50% of the online traffic in broadband networks, according to internet service provider ‘Plusnet’. ‘YouTube’ and ‘BBC iPlayer’ take the first two places in popularity among applications. Last Thursday when the YouTube was not in operation, the network traffic dropped down considerably. Analyst firm ‘Point Topic’ expects that there will be about 50 million Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) users throughout the world by 2020. Oliver Johnson of the company remarked that web-enabled TV services are very popular among the people of France. The subjects, of other nations are also slowly catching up with the French.
