Plusnet launches a new self-install router, Plusnet Hub One

The telecoms provider Plusnet has launched Plusnet Hub One, a new self-install router. The new router will speed-up the connection process with the new self install process. The device will be available from 17th December of this year to all new customers opting fibre and to existing ADSL customers upgrading to fibre. Customers currently are being offered fibre broadband free for the first 6 months, after which a charge of £14.99, on a 18-month contract. When a Plusnet phone line is taken, activation is free and line rental is at £16.99 per month.


The Plusnet Hub One is a letter-box sized device, designed for straightforward set-up with automatic features, one USB port and 5 Ethernet ports. The dual-band wireless router will transmit on both the bands (2.4Ghz and 5GHz) simultaneously, supporting speeds of up to 1Gbps and does not require details to be entered to get connected for the first time. The hub comes with Wi-Fi protected set-up and power management. It can monitor the router functions individually and when not in use reverts to power save mode.
