Plusnet launches 40Mbps FTTC Broadband Pilot
One of the broadband providers operating in the United Kingdom that offers the cheapest broadband packages, Plusnet UK has announced the launch of its up to 40Mbps commercial FTTC (fibre to the cabinet) superfast broadband beta trial.
Plusnet UK had pledged recently that its broadband would hardly be beat on price. Besides, announcing the launch of its Plusnet Fibre trial, it has also offered up some of the initial pricing details.
Presently, Plusnet UK boasts of more than six hundred customers on the semi closed alpha-FTTC broadband trial of its, with more than hundred orders progressing or requests on a wait for going ahead. A further seventy customers are also there on the FTTP service of Plusnet.
Dave Tomlinson of Plusnet revealed that they would be availing Fibre Beta pilot on all business ADSL products of Plusnet and on its Pro, Extra and Value packages. The trial according to him, will cost an extra GBP 12 a month (inclusive of VAT) on top of the standard price of subscription.
Tomlinson added that the Beta pilot was open to the existing home customers on one of their older products, although they were required to switch to Pro, Value or Extra for taking part in the trial.
