PlusNet launch new broadband phone bundle
PlusNet, the UK broadband provider has launched a new broadband bundle that will offer 8MB broadband and phone package for £6.99 per month. However, there is a line rental of £10, thus taking the total monthly cost to £16.99 a month. There is no set up cost for the new customers who sign a 12 month contract and the broadband usage between midnight and 8am is free. There are also price changes in the existing PlusNet Broadband Your Way Options with BBYW Option 1 will now cost £9.99 per month. BBYW Option 2 and Option 3 packages will cost £14.99 and £19.99 respectively. Option 1 broadband customers will now get 2GB monthly usage allowance (previously, 1GB). Although there is 12 month minimum contract, the customers can opt for one month contract with one-off activation fee of £40. PlusNet broadband customers will also get wired or wireless router, broadband calls, weekend UK landline calls and 24/7 UK based customer support. The new bundle, Essential will offer 8MB download speed and 1GB monthly usage allowance. The additional usage can be bought at the rate of £1.25 per GB. Neil Laycock, Plusnet's Chief Executive commented:
PlusNet says that this bundle offer is the cheapest ever broadband and phone package and excellent option for the broadband customers who want good value for money.
"There are millions of people paying too much for their broadband and not getting a decent service. It is our response to the economic slowdown. Customers want value-for-money deals and we are confident this fits the bill."
